Hello!
These are the rules that we use in Goal of Life Guild and also used in Dark Chaos guild. These rules are ment to be followed and we are expecting all guild members to follow them very carefully. Here you will find what rules there is for raiding and also for the common guild. These rules will be updated almost every week due to the fact that we see new improvements that needs to be made. Please keep yourself updated by checking this post every week.
Common
Raiding
When looting
We use a custom DKP system named 'Symphony' that is really simple. You gain DKP based on your time in raids, regardless of boss kills or not. Typically, you will gain 1 DKP per hour in a raid. This value is modified by some factors, like if you use consumables or not.
The hour bonus is multiplied (additive) according to your consumable status:
These buffs, and ONLY these buffs, affect your per-hour DKP increase. Say, for example, that you use a Flask + a food buff, you will gain 1.5 DKP per hour instead of 1. If you use a Battle Elixir only, you will gain 1.3 DKP per hour. If you use nothing, you gain 1 DKP per hour.
When you loot an item, a static 25% of your current DKP is subtracted from your total DKP, and is lost forever. So if you have 10 DKP and loot an item, you drop to 7.5 DKP. Obviously, since item prices are percentages, you can never go below 0 DKP.
If your 3-week attendance drops below 60%, your DKP value will start to diminish. 1 DKP is worth 100% of its value at 60%, and 10% at 0% attendance. So if you've joined no raids for 3 weeks and have 10 DKP, it'll only be worth a total of 1 DKP.
If the raid is full, but you are still available for raiding, you can whisper the raid leader and let him know that you are ready to step in at any time. If you do this, you will get 1 DKP per hour as if you were in the raid with no consumables. If you are needed at a later point but turn out to be AFK (without an agreement with an officer - you're allowed to go to eat dinner and such, obviously) or actually unable to raid, you will lose 100% (ALL) your DKP.
DKP is tracked per-character, so if you go to a raid with another toon, you will have a separate pool of DKP for that character, and will start out at 0.

Common
- We consider it very important that each and every one of the members should have fully respect for one and other, there for the one that is not showing the respect or treating the other players badly will be guild kicked for bad behavior! We also consider it very important that all guild members treats all none guildies with full respect. You are not aloud to curse or spam in public channels. You are not aloud to steal, spam, lie or treat others badly.. This will result with a guild kick.
Raiding
- While raiding we use teamspeak / ventrilo. It is very important that all raiders are attending to the voice chat. Please ask your raid leader(s) for the ventrilo / teamspeak details and also ask which version we are currently using. During raids all raiders are to be silent except raid leader(s) and appointed people. During free time the ventrilo is open for all guild members to visit and chat in.
- Do not whisper the raid leader before a raid asking if you will be picked, wait until you receive an invite or wait for the BDKP message to appear in guild chat and put yourself on sitout. Do not put yourself on sitout if you are going to forget to remove yourself when logging offline. As a sitout player you are expected to be able to jump in in case of emergency. Meaning that you mostly have to sit outside the raid instance and wait for the raid leader(s) to ask you to come in. You can also as a sitout player get invited to the raid group so that you wont feel so lonely. Please keep in mind that you must not disturb the raiders while you are in the raid group as a sitout player.
- During raids, DO NOT interrupt the raid leader or any of the officers while they are talking on Ventrilo. If this shall happen you will be removed from that raid group and if repeated several times a guild kick will take place.
- We have dedicated raid leaders for a reason so if you want to give your opinion about how something should be done, you ask on vent or in raid chat if you can make a suggestion then it will be up to the raid leader if you may voice your opinion. If your opinion has been denied please fall back and let the raid leader(s) do there job. All Officers knows all tactics for all encounters that we are currently raiding. During progress time we might happen to forget some small details. Raid leader(s) will ask the raid group if help is needed explaining the tactics.
- Pugging (meaning: Going raid instances with non guildies) is not aloud. Not even if you are not able to attend to a certain raid instance this week. There is some raid instances that you are aloud to pug and the list of these can be found in the Raiding section. If you do pug you will be removed from raiding.
- All raiders are expected to attend to all raids, if you happen not to be able to attend to one of the raids please be sure to post a explanation on the raiding section forums. If inactivity has been shown Trial members will be guild kicked and Raid members will be demoted to trial for a new chance.
- Never do raid wide buffs such as Gift of the wild or paladin blessings with out a raid leader or officer telling you to. The simple reason is to make sure everyone is there first of all and then maybe some long info or break will be given before boss fight / trash mobs fight and not wanting to waste time on buffs.
- The Main tank is the one leading the way, if nothing else has been said, there for never move ahead with out him/ her. Always make sure you are safely behind the tanks to avoid unnecessary pulls or deaths.
- You may only go Away from keyboard during the break that we will be having. Mostly 2 breaks will be given during a raid, each 2 mins long. If progression day we will be giving one 3 mins long break. You must be back by the time the break is over.
- Never ask for heals or resurrections because healers see you loosing health and will heal you when they can, you don´t have to ask for the heals. Same with resurrection, healers can see your dead, don´t ask for ress.
- When the raid group wipes on trash mobs every one must release and start running to recover as fast as possible. Always do so if your not toled otherwise. During boss fights however you must NEVER release till the raid leader tells you to. Or else you might miss the loot if the boss goes down.
- During progression time raid leader(s) will not hesitate to remove players that is under performing. Same with if your class is no longer needed for the rest of the instance or just that fight.
- When starting a boss fight, every member of the raid now needs to have some well fed food and either a flask or 2 elixirs. This will be checked from now on.
