Hello everyone
As you may have noticed i have been promoted to officer this week. As officer i have been put in charge of ranged dps classes. This means i will be reading up on your class to get to know it a little, then check your armory profile to see you stats. To do this i'd like to ask all trial members and fairly new raiding members (if you have been accepted in say the last month) to make sure you are in your raiding gear when you log off. I just tried to check one of you out, but that person logged in his/her pvp gear which makes my job impossible at that point.
When i feel i know enough and have inspected your gear i will be looking up what gear you can get out of heroics and puggable instances to improve you and get you raid-ready, and pick a date at which we will be running through them to aquire these. By doing this we hope to achieve that new members will be ready for 10/25-man runs in ulduar faster, so we can get full-guild runs going again.
If there are items you already have on a "wish-list" to get your hands on, please let me know here to save us both time.
Thats all for now, time to do a Shapes-like signature:

Its very good that you made the effort, but unfortunatly in a PvE enviroment PvP gear isnt the best. Take for example your HR. Atm its at 42, which im not entirly sure because i dont know mage's that well, but im guessing the hit cap is around 350. Im not saying drop all your PvP gear, im just saying that if you get a PvE item to replace it with then i would strongly recommend you doing so.

Yeah I know the PvP gear isn't that good for PvE but it was the easiest way to gear up to a semi respectable level to even start PvE. I had to find the easiest way to replace my Blue level 78-80 quest gear with something better and PvP was the easiest way to start.
I will replace it all eventually and at least I'll feel more useful on raids than I did with my level 78-80 Blues ;D
I haven't done a lot of PvE since I came back to the game but I want to that is why i applied to this guild because I was told you lot where a good bunch of peeps. So far I haven't been disappointed.

Aye full PVP gear wont get you very far in a raid. Keep your ear to the ground in case any guildies do a naxx 10/25 OS 10/25 run (or try and get in a naxx pug)
And like frost pointed out 42 hit rating is no good, you want about 350-360 with talents or about 460 without talents

I totally agree maggers. It is better than quest greens and blues but what im trying to say is that I would suggest not to set your sights so high for replacements. Even T7 gear would be better to raid with rather than PvP gear. Also Malygos is a very difficult bass to do with a guild run let alone a pug, seen as we cant get enough people for 25 man raids i see it highly doubtful that you will get the Eye of Eternity gear unless you find an extremely good pug.
We are in a difficult position atm. With our current raiding schedule we are struggling to find the time to take the players that still need gear from places like naxx but we are aware of the situation.
